WASHINGTON – Acknowledging the spiritual impact his election challenger has had on his life, President-elect Donald Trump will take the presidential oath of office on Inauguration Day with a copy of Hillary Clinton’s memoir, “Living History,” instead of the traditional Bible. “That book has been his devotional since he found it in a hotel room on the campaign trail,” said a spokesman for the president-elect after pontificating about the passage he had read that morning. “It was a steady hand during the campaign’s scandals. Like when the “Access Hollywood” tapes were released, he was guided and comforted by Hillary’s candid reflections on the Lewinsky scandal.” Other Inauguration Day preparations are already underway. On Monday Trump announced he had chosen a passage from the memoir to be offered as an invocation, and at press time Trump was seen entering a confessional at the Clinton’s Chappaqua home, memoir in hand, saying, “forgive me, Hillary, for I have sinned.”
