R.L. Stine

Novelist, Producer, Screenwriter, and creator of the popular children’s book series Goosebumps – also known as Jovial Bob Stine, served as editor-in-chief during time as a student here at Ohio State, leading The Sundial to new heights.

James Thurber

Cartoonist, Humorist, Journalist, Playwright, and author of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. Served as editor of the magazine from 1916 to 1918, and petitioned the university to re-instate The Sundial during one of it’s earliest probations.

Milton Caniff

Cartoonist and creator of Terry and the Pirates and Steve Canyon

Cartoonist and one of the first contributing artists to The New Yorker. A founding member of The Sundial.

Phil Ochs

Singer and songwriter, and figurehead in the 1960s counterculture era
