COLUMBUS—During a recent visit to a Bob Evans, Mark Thompson asked the waitress what dressings were available, despite the fact that he has been ordering Ranch for the past 15 years. Thompson’s family, who was celebrating his grandson’s little league win, reported a shared feeling of anxiety present at the table as the waitress moved from traditional dressing options into house specialties, knowing that her efforts were futile. A family member, who asked to remain unnamed, informed the press that Thompson also requested further information; asking if the Thousand Island Dressing was Keto. This accusation has yet to be confirmed and it is unclear whether Thompson knows what Keto means.

Thompson told reporters last Wednesday he is unsure why he still asks the wait staff to list all of his options for salad dressing. “I guess I just can’t help but wonder if there’s something better at the end of that list,” he said. Linda Thompson, wife of Mark, told reporters she thinks that perhaps he just enjoys the attention.
