COLUMBUS, OHIO—“Racism is so messed up…Like seriously.” After centuries of racial divide in America, one college student decided enough was enough. Second year student at Ohio State University Mia Pravdic took to Twitter to voice her distaste for the atrocities committed at the hands of racism. Pravdic (19) recalled seeing a video of young white men harassing a black man in a store in Akron, and decided to take matters into her own hands. Pravdic then brandished her weapon of social justice, a rose gold iPhone X, and tweeted away an era in human history. Within minutes the tweet had spread across the globe, reaching the screens of US President Donald Trump and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. The tweet has been said to have opened the eyes of racists everywhere, who also took to Twitter to express their views, with one stating that he’d, “never thought about it that way” and another simply tweeting, “nevermind lol”. At press time Pravdic is in consideration for the Nobel Peace Prize.
